Svanova is a subsidiary of Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, the second largest company in the animal health industry. We strive to offer holistic diagnostic and prevention solutions to our customers. Our portfolio covers roughly 30 different ELISA tests for both notifiable and non-notifiable diseases of veterinary importance and are sold in over 70 countries worldwide. We also actively research and develop new products to serve the evolving animal health market.

As the Distributor Manager you are the primary point of contact for our global distribution network: you build and maintain productive relationships with them, set pricing and manage availability of our products. You also provide marketing materials and support in tendering situations. You occasionally meet the distributors on conferences, most communications take place online.

This is an office based role in Uppsala.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Strategic planning: analyze and prepare recommendations for strategic market focus and business set up in new and emerging markets
• Gathering of 18+ months forecast from key markets
• Arrange distributor meetings when appropriate and needed
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting on a global scale to distributors and end users
• Make recommendations regarding necessity of strategic product registration in different companies and assist in defining registration requirements
• Suggest and collect suggestions for product improvement proposals based on learnings from market feedback
• Active in the Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) group to provide feedback from customers/distributors and communicate to the customers/distributors necessary feedback regarding CAPA activities

Requirements and qualifications:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in biomedical science or a Veterinarian
• At least 5 years of experience in sales or account management in an animal health organization or alternatively in a customer facing role in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory
• Diagnostic laboratory experience in the veterinary field is an asset
• Experience in an international environment is considered a plus
• Excellent command of the English language
• Able to translate technical data into clear and concise messages
• Strong communication and relationship building skills with people of all backgrounds and cultures
• Persistent, proactive, energetic, precise and flexible
• You demonstrate ownership, act with an open mind, challenge the status quo and take smart risks
